Sometimes, Repose can read a little purple or blue depending on the natural light in. I’ve been trying to make this decision for most of the summer, and now I’m down to the last 48 hours before I need to give the contractor my color choices. Repose gray is a lovely cool gray, however, be aware of the undertones. So if you are the type of person that is scared of light colored walls, try this color Mindful Gray is. What color did you choose? I’m toying with the idea of using Alabaster in my kitchen area to make it brighter/warmer (natural Alder cabinets, black granite, and neutral light beige ceramic backsplash) – I feel like it would be a good choice to be adjacent to the living room with AG. Mindful gray is one shade darker than Repose Gray. I see from the comments that you ended up going with white instead. Makes me nervous because I am paying a contractor to do this job, and I won’t be able to afford a do-over. Repose Gray is undoubtedly at its personal best in spaces like these. I picked up sample quarts of the two colors and painted 8×10 canvases – but I really feel like I won’t know how AG is going to behave until the paint is on the walls. The kitchen/dining area, living room and master bedroom are all NW exposure. I’m leaning hard toward Agreeable Gray, but have concerns about the lighting in my home. Plan on taking the color throughout, with the exception of the office (Oyster Bay) and bathrooms (Anew Gray) on the first floor. I am in the same boat – need to decide between Agreeable Gray or Repose Gray for an entire repaint of my first floor. I’ll definitely share pictures once I’m done so stay tuned… Repose gray is also just a shade darker than Agreeable Gray.
